"The AJAC program has been more than beneficial to me since my first day of enrollment. My initiative to participate in the program earned me an immediate promotion to part-time CNC programmer and draftsman, allowing me to expand my current knowledge in machining. Within my first year of the program, my path in the industry became more defined than ever. Talking with other students from different shops has broadened my outlook towards the manufacturing industry. Over the course of the year I learned more about math than I ever did throughout high school and my instructor designated an entire quarter to shop procedures - both made job planning at work much smoother. The AJAC program has kept me interested in this trade. I plan on becoming a tool and die maker, a shop foreman or a teacher. My career has become more of a hobby to me than work."

"Through the AJAC program, I have learned how to work in all areas of a shop and use a variety of machines. I can now make parts on manual machines
as well as CNC machines and I have improved my blueprint reading skills. Because of this program, I now have a career, not just a job. I'm learning skills I can use throughout my life that will help me stay competitive in my industry and make me an asset to my company. In addition, the program has boosted my confidence."

"I have benefitted from the AJAC program in many ways - it motivated me to earn my Associates Degree in Applied Science. I learned so many skills while in the program, including: blueprint reading, milling, turning and programming with Mastercam. AJAC's program helped me turn my job into a career. I have received several promotions and someday soon, I will be in the planning office working on estimating and planning."
