Why Apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are growing rapidly across the country and here in Washington.

  • 679,143 apprentices were active in the U.S. in 2024 — an 88% increase since 2015.
  • 21,126 apprentices were active in Washington State in 2024 — a 76% increase since 2015.
  • More than 5,000 Washington employers participate in 182 apprenticeship programs spanning nearly 250 occupations.

Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction. Participants earn wages from day one while building in-demand skills and industry-recognized credentials.

This event is ideal for high school juniors and seniors, CTE students, recent graduates, career changers, and anyone exploring skilled trades and apprenticeship career pathways. Bring your questions. Talk directly with program representatives. See the work firsthand. Walk away with a clearer path forward.
