2020 Graduation Postponement
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and the uncertainty of its timeline or lasting impact, the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) has made the tough decision to postpone our 2020 Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony to June 18, 2021. Now is the appropriate time to make this decision before many of our graduates begin to make travel arrangements with family and friends.
Our graduation ceremony each year is attended by more than 400 guests and it is our top priority to ensure we can have a celebration that does not compromise those most vulnerable to exposure to COVID-19.
The current state restrictions prohibiting large gatherings—and the likelihood the restrictions will continue for some time—necessitated the postponement of the traditional June ceremony.
Our leadership team weighed many options including alternative dates in the fall and a virtual online graduation, however, we want to celebrate your achievements on becoming journeymen and journeywomen when it is safe to do so together. We wish each one of you and your family members’ safety and health during these times and look forward to seeing you at next year’s graduation.
We understand you may have additional questions or concerns about how this will impact you and your remaining time in the program (if you have not fully completed). If there is specific question you have, please reach out using the contact information below.
