About AJAC's Career Navigation Program

AJAC launched a new program in 2021 to help job seekers, military members, apprentices and Manufacturing Academy students with resume building, soft-skill development, and a guided job search of advanced manufacturing employment opportunities.

The AJAC Career Navigation Program is a wrap-around service designed to bridge the gap between AJAC preparatory programs and apprenticeship opportunities.

We encourage you to use our Career Navigation Services to be connected with employers, update your resume, and prepare to interviews with hiring companies.

Career Navigation Services Include Up to 3 Months Of:

  • Job Search assistance
  • 1:1 resume/interview prep sessions
  • Introductions to AJAC employer partners with open positions
  • Coaching around interview prep, salary negotiations, and apprenticeship entry
  • Additional tutoring around foundational manufacturing skills

Process for AJAC Apprentices

Current AJAC Apprentices can utilize the Career Navigation Program to help with resume building, interview techniques, and current openings with partnering employers. 

Apprentices can contact our Career Navigation Team to schedule a meeting to discuss your needs.

Process for Manufacturing Academy Students

Upon successful completion of the Manufacturing Academy program, students must complete the following steps to set you up for success: 

  1. Email your resume to our Career Navigator
  2. Schedule a one-on-one virtual meeting to discuss employment and apprenticeship career goals
  3. Update resume (if applicable)
  4. AJAC will connect you with a hiring employer based on your qualifications, where you live, and career aspirations. 

Employment Connections and Expectations

Career navigation services are not a guarantee of employment. However, we are committed to facilitating connections between individuals and employers currently recruiting in your area. Successful placement is contingent on your performance in the interview process as well as your ability to meet the requirements of any necessary background check/drug screenings.

Our role is to support you in navigating the job market and connecting you with employment opportunities. After the interview, the decision to offer employment is solely up to the employer.

AJAC's Career Navigation Program is Designed to:

Support resume building, cover letter and interview preparation specifically for the Advanced Manufacturing Industry.

Direct connection to Manufacturing Employers that are hiring in the Puget Sound and throughout Washington State.

Guided job-searches demonstrations to include (but not limited to) virtual job fairs, job searches, and demonstrations for navigating online social media platforms to increase hire-ability.

Provide manufacturing employment, career, and apprenticeship coaching to support participates ability to articulate your skills, capabilities and career goals when meeting with potential employers.

Industry-specific educational training sessions (Precision Measuring, Blueprint Reading, etc.), as well as, soft skill development.
