AJAC Classroom Presentations

Let's Talk Apprenticeships!

Bring AJAC To Your Classroom!

AJAC offers an incredible opportunity, but it’s tailored for a specific group of students. This program is perfect for those who want to jumpstart their careers in advanced manufacturing while still in high school. It’s designed for students seeking a non-traditional learning experience, where they can work in an adult environment and complete their high school credits simultaneously. To ensure we reach the students who will benefit most from this work-based learning experience, we prefer in-class presentations over the broad approach of career fairs.

Meet Creed, AJAC's Youth Apprenticeship Manager

My name is Creed Tremaine Nelson and I have been fortunate to teach high school students machining for the last twenty years. I recently retired from teaching and joined AJAC as their Youth Apprenticeship Manager in 2023.

Having taught AJAC’s Youth Apprenticeship Program at Lindbergh High School, I work with school districts and skills centers across Washington State to ensure high school students have equal opportunities to pursue their career in the trades.

Real World Skills for Students

In the rapidly evolving landscape of education, preparing students for real-world success has become more crucial than ever.

Advanced manufacturing apprenticeships present a compelling opportunity to gain a competitive edge in today’s job market. By participating in apprenticeships, students develop a deeper understanding of their chosen field and build valuable connections with industry professionals.
