Corey is a third-generation machinist from Boeing, and since his retirement, his desire to give back to his local community drove his passion for teaching. Corey was hired by AJAC in September 2022 to teach machining apprentices at our Enumclaw training location. His wealth of knowledge and life experiences on the shop floor have helped younger machinists thrive in the classroom and at their job site.

We visited Corey’s class to learn more about his journey into manufacturing, why he became an instructor, how his approach to teaching resonates with his students, and what keeps him motivated during his evening classes.

If you or someone you know has a background in manufacturing and would like to pass on their knowledge, we encourage you to review our instructor openings across Washington State.
