Our Next Cohort Starts January 2023

Starting January 2023, AJAC is teaming up with Workforce Central to offer an in-person Manufacturing Academy cohort for Pierce County residents. Last week, Annikka Trabucco, the Workplace Training Manager at Workforce Central, spoke about our upcoming pre-apprenticeship program on City Line TV in Tacoma.

In this clip, Annikka talks about our organizations grassroots efforts in workforce development, the basics of the Manufacturing Academy, how AJAC’s connects graduates with livable wage jobs, and the requirements for enrollment.

Pierce County’s Manufacturing Footprint

AJAC partners with over 40 manufacturing companies in Pierce County for our registered apprenticeship programs. These companies manufacture products for a variety of industries including Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Medical, Food Processing, and Plastics.

In Pierce County, there are 661 manufacturing establishments employing nearly 17,000 workers who make on average $67,163 annually.
