Take a look at AJAC’s three training programs and find the one that’s right for you.

Adult Apprenticeship
AJAC offers 11 apprenticeship programs for individuals working full-time in Washington’s manufacturing industry to advance their skills and careers.
  • Requirements: Must be 18+, high school diploma, GED, or complete the WOWI Test, and employer approval.
  • What You Earn: Journey-Level Credential
  • Length: 18-months to 5-years
  • Cost: $400/quarter (some partner employers elect to pay for their apprentice’s costs. AJAC also has financial aid resources available to help off-set the quarterly instructional cost for each quarter.)

Manufacturing Academy
This apprenticeship preparation program gives you real experience working with tools, machines, and materials used by today’s manufacturers. In 10-weeks, you will build practical skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and get connected to local employers who are ready to hire.
  • Requirements: Must be 18 or older, ability to be funded and employed in the U.S., complete all paperwork, and attend class daily.
  • What You Earn: Certificate of Completion, Industry Certifications, and 300 OJT hours towards apprenticeship
  • Length: 10-Weeks (Monday-Friday)
  • Cost: No-cost (if you do not quality for funding, out of pocket cost is $3,400)

Youth Apprenticeship
Designed for high school juniors and seniors to start and complete a registered apprenticeship before they graduate high school.
  • Requirements: Attend a high school or skills center that partners with AJAC
  • What You Earn: Journey-Level Card
  • Length: 2 Years
  • Cost: Free

Adult Apprenticeship

AJAC offers 11 apprenticeship programs for individuals working full-time in Washington’s manufacturing industry to advance their skills and careers.

  • Requirements: Must be 18+, high school diploma, GED, or complete the WOWI Test, and employer approval.
  • What You Earn: Journey-Level Credential
  • Length: 18-months to 5-years
  • Cost: $400/quarter*

*Some partner employers elect to pay for their apprentice’s quarterly instructional fee or have a reimbursement policy. AJAC also has financial aid resources available to help off-set the quarterly instructional cost for each quarter.

Designed for high school juniors and seniors to start and complete a registered manufacturing-focused apprenticeship before they graduate high school in one of two occupations developed by AJAC. 

  • Requirements: Attend a high school or skills center that partners with AJAC
  • What You Earn: Journey-Level Card
  • Length: 2 Years
  • Cost: Free
