AJAC’s Lacey MakerSpace is wrapping up its first cohort and students are ready to take what they have learned in class and apply it to the real-world of advanced manufacturing. AJAC sat down with one of the soon-to-be graduates to hear about his experience in this new accelerated pre-apprenticeship program.
The Manufacturing Academy, designed by AJAC, immerses participants in critical technical skills, including shop math, blueprint reading, and precision measurement. In just four weeks, participants will also earn valuable industry-recognized certifications in forklift operation, OSHA-10 safety training, CPR/First-Aid, and lean manufacturing methodologies. These credentials not only enhance their professional portfolios but significantly boost their employability, positioning them for lucrative careers in advanced manufacturing.
