The Kind of Moment You Can’t Script

Celebrating Mickey’s Journey

A Moment Worth Catching on Camera

Sometimes the best moments happen when you’re not planning for them. During a video shoot at Orion, we ended up capturing something far more meaningful than B-roll or interview clips. Their entire staff gathered for a meeting, and in the middle of it, Mickey was recognized for completing his Industrial Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship with AJAC—three years of work, classes, testing, and on-the-job training.

The room lit up for him. His manager talked about the dedication it takes to finish an apprenticeship while juggling life outside of work, and how Mickey pushed through setbacks to stay on track. And when Mickey spoke, he shared something simple but powerful: Orion gave him the chance to go back to school, AJAC helped him build skills he could use every day, and he wasn’t going to waste the opportunity.

It was honest, unscripted, and the kind of moment that shows what happens when an employer truly invests in its people. Apprenticeships don’t just build skills—they build confidence, stability, and a path forward.

We’ll share the full video soon. It’s a good one.
